“The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.” -Adolf Hitler
"All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." -Mark Twain
The last century of evolution of medicine in the West might be reasonably called "The Rockefeller Medical Era". After all, it was oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller---by many accounts the wealthiest man in the world, and first to be called "billionaire"---who set about reducing the influence of doctors, building a portfolio of petroleum-based patent medicines that did more to mask symptoms than cure ailments, and helped Hitler set up manufacturing of poisons and chemicals through an investment in I.G. Farben.
It might be said that Rockefeller took a noble vocation, fraught with the flaws of the times, gained a toe-hold on many medical schools through donations (with board members to "oversee spending") and turned it into the corporate machine it is today---one that dominates spending on lobbyists, and holds open the revolving door (and here and here and everywhere you look) for regulatory capture.
The Pharmaceutical Bubble
Nobody will argue that none of the medicines produced by the pharmaceutical industry are worthwhile. However, many of those medicines have been around long enough that they are off-patent, so profitable only to the extent that competition is limited and companies can find ways to outsource production to nations with cheaper labor, leaving the West in a state of medical dependence that should have raised eyebrows long before now.
Progress in cutting edge fields no longer keeps up with desired technological growth curves sought by investors. Since the Human Genome Project, government funding of science, and particularly medical science, has seen a negative return on investment (ROI), mirrored closely by ROI for research and development within the pharmaceutical industry itself.

Perhaps there are many advancements to be made, but that the gains are not as easily captured by a singular organization such as a corporation. And the corporations are not likely to let go of the patent process that controls progress until they are forced to. Nor will they lose the support of so many in medicine who have been led into a state of near-complete path dependency, vocationally speaking.
Blinded by Profit
Along came a conveniently timed pandemic, that just so happens to have also coincided with the end of the pharmaceutical profit era.
"Pay up, Mortimer. I've won the bet."
"Here, one dollar."
"We took a perfectly useless, if not deadly vaccine like Pfizer's, and turned it into a successful product. And during the same time, we turned an inexpensive, highly effective medicine like hydroxychloroquine into a dangerous pariah and would-be killer!"
Yesterday a friend sent me this article in Naked Capitalism about the ways in which Pfizer has engineered the process of running trials---in particular the way consent works for their booster clinical trial. Stop here and read the whole thing, please. Please. The clinical trial process has been gradually hijacked to reduce [ethical] review, reduce oversight, and bait in participants whose responses can be most easily manipulated. Just the fact that the participants are told not to contact the study doctor about non-COVID symptoms that have been attributed to the vaccines should call this and all the other vaccine studies into question.
Now wonder none of the vaccine manufacturers will release their raw data. The experiments are a success, so long as all participants remain blinded?
The vaccine campaign is no longer a regulated process. We should call it what it is: extralegal, with law makers turning blinded eyes, and a dysfunctional media running a full frontal assault on anyone who stands in the way while running the most sophisticated propaganda campaign in history against simple and effective alternatives. And what all else fails, the mob gets roused.
"I had the most absurd nightmare. I was unvaccinated and no one liked me. I lost my job, I lost my house, medical pundits hated me and it was all because of this terrible, awful pandemic."
Okay, so what now?
When financial bubbles reach the point that the only way to extend them is to cut costs that support human health, they're bound to burst. You can bet that the Kunlangeta are planning on it. They're buying up all the most viable assets that weather economic disaster: homes, farm land, and maybe even ammunition?
While the world sorts into squabbling partisans, the Kunglangeta position themselves. They set up and make trades to maintain a position of power over you. So, how do you come out the other side with power over you? Is there some kind of trade that you can make?
I wouldn't give up the farm just yet, no matter how high the bids climb. While I am personally vested in Bitcoin and believe it to be the best solution to consolidation of financial power, I have other thoughts in mind. But I did want to focus your attention on what the cypherpunks were always heading toward.
We are in the position that we are in due to centuries of lies told in the service of the Kunlangeta. There are times when we do not owe them our honesty or allegiance.
It is said that science moves forward one funeral at a time. Perhaps civilization does as well. That is not to say that bloodshed is the answer, though there is chatter of civil war in the air, and by all accounts, the multinational corporations have made certain, intentionally or not, that such a conflict would be global. Perhaps there is a better path. Perhaps all that is needed is to fool the Kunlangeta into accepting the wrong trade...
"Happy New Year!"
"Fresh air?"
"Healthy food and exercise?"
"Hey! How'd ya'll make out today?"
"How could you do this to us after everything we've done for you?"
"Oh, see, I made the frontline doctor a bet here! See, Doc bet me that we couldn't both live well and push the Kunlangeta off the ice at the same time. He didn't think we could do it. I won."
There will be a time after this time. And we will all have to take responsibility for it. The alternative is the Great Reset after a vicious battle of Zion.

It feels a bit like we're living through the era of Antiochus Epiphanes, at the end of the Old Covenant. Things moved fast then, they're moving fast now.
