Tonight I could write about Part I of the Project Veritas COVID-19 Vaccine interviews, though I doubt anyone reading Rounding the Earth (RTE) needs for me to interpret any of that for them. And it's nothing new to me. After hundreds of conversations with doctors, nurses, EMTs, and others in and around the medical system, there is no shock left for me in this tale. I've already documented Abrien Aguirre's story, and there are others. By all means, post more in the comments. I don't feel like scouring my 1,500 pages of notes to find them all tonight.

But the cruel gaslighting still shocks me.

I want to urge people to back away from that oblivion, and to spend some time contemplating what we are doing to our society and our communities. Again, most RTE readers may not need to hear this, but perhaps I'm writing in hopes that a few people poking around the internet stumble on this post and read. If you're new to RTE, I'm going to ask you to stop here for a moment, close your eyes, and think about all the people whom you love.

Much of the cruelty takes place in the form of gross double-standards that defy belief, but thanks to our reality-defining media machinery's finely tuned Asch experiments, too many Americans are incapable of stepping away from purely partisan judgment. Perhaps it's inescapable for some, but I believe in the ability of people to find their way out of the maze. Humans are pretty nifty.

When Trump expressed love for his least educated voters, that brought cruel mockery from his critics, happy to pat themselves on the back for not being among those dummies. In the most performative way, Trump-haters despised those Trump voters. That game was clearly a well-laid political trap for cruel partisans. Even if Trump was lying, they weren't, and the rest of us (including those of us who abandoned the two-party system long ago) all saw it plainly for what it meant. The further you fall down such a hateful pit, the more you have to own it.

But if you're not one of the clowns, dig deep for the courage to step away from them. Partisanship is an illusion designed to separate you from your community, and your community needs you now. Americans are hurting. They need you and you need them. Your neighbors need you. And they're more wonderful and interesting than you think they are, so turn off the TV once in a while, go for a walk, and introduce yourself. It's okay. You can finish reading this later.

Medscape Reports

Public health officials play a daily game of pretend that COVID-19 threatens every American in some serious way, and that the vaccines are perfectly "safe and effective" while healthy Americans with little to no risk are pressured to hide away, wearing uncomfortable masks, the science behind which was always based on lies. We watch with a mixture of bemusement and horror as health officials (here and here) do their best to hide their vaccine adverse events, which are supposed to be rare. And those are just the ones showing up for public appearances.

But we are supposed to pretend this is rare. Physicians get online daily to ensure the public that they've never seen anyone harmed by the vaccines.

Earlier tonight, somebody sent me this page at Medscape. It's revealing. Let's take a look at a sample of what doctors around the world are saying about the COVID-19 vaccines.

Some of the doctors share their own terrifying experiences after vaccination.

Others remind the other physicians of the short and sweet point that, "everything is just fine."

But those few who supposedly see nothing at all going wrong seem to get more pushback than support.

Maybe it's hard to say everything you want to say when you have a mortgage and kids.

Defenders of the vaccines suggest that many of these issues are "background events", but hundreds of doctors write up their AEs with a tone that suggests their belief as clinicians that the vaccines caused their injuries.

Maybe this page got passed around so well that it simply brought all the doctors with AEs to one spot to report. After all, the CDC and other pharmacovigilance agencies running similar tests see no (un)safety signals. And there's no reason to think that VAERS is underreported, right?

These are probably just all the anti-vaxxers who got vaccinated, though. Or anti-vaxx doctors who want to sabotage vaccination efforts. But boy, they sure do seem to outnumber all other commenters by a landslide margin…

And even the doctors have to dodge the censors to share information.

Another clue to the clearly untrue "pandemic of the unvaccinated" story, which many doctors don't seem to be buying.

It goes on and on and on. I'm almost starting to wonder if all these injuries are part of the reason hospitals are short-staffed.

I feel deeply for these doctors. They're fighting wars on several fronts, and must sometimes take gaslighting from their own peers. It's no wonder that most of them don't have the time or energy to fight the public relations war in the media.

I almost hesitate to put it this way, but reading through all these comments, it would be easy to conclude that the science is settled. What do you think?

I wonder if this has anything to do with all this. How odd that the vaccine manufacturers have the power to preclude labs from examining their composition.
