Never expected someone like you to quote Jesus. Jesus! The evangelicals might come after you...But I've always thought that if we just followed His teachings, the world would vastly improve. And I am not a Christian.

I'm never worried about what people think of my religion, but I mostly focus on the simple first: I define God as all that is. Then I appreciate existence, which is not quite the same thing as rooting for good over evil, but in practice I believe that follows for anyone who is not psychopathic.
I don't follow the Trinity and don't worry about thinks I'm a Christian amd who doesn't. What matters is how I live, which is what some people define poetically as a personal relationship with God. I stripped away the poetry years ago while settling into this spot.
Could not agree more...if only I had had you as a Math teacher in my misspent youth, my entire life might have been better and I would have avoided some of my worst mistakes. Good math teachers are exceedingly rare and you appear to be one of them. Bless you.
Dr. RC Sproul, RIP, of Ligonier in Florida has wrote a lot of great commentaries on the Gospels. Tim Keller, RIP, of gospelinlife.com is another great resource. Peace.

Good theology teachers may be rarer. It took me a while to get past cartoonish explanations of anything to be able to start from the ground floor.
