Thanks, Mathew. That Larry Ellison character is truly creepy. I predict the mRNA platform will not come into widespread use simply because it is far too dangerous.
Great discussion Matt and Matthew. Something that may add to Matthew’s discussion of Lincoln and the Secretary of War meeting with John Wilkes Booth.
One sentence summary:
In the very popular 1935 book “Ordeal by Fire: An Informal History of the Civil War”, Fletcher Pratt (Naval Intelligence) writes about how on the February 1861 day that Lincoln snuck into Washington, Secretary of Sate to be W. H. Seward met with Lincoln and Caleb Cushing (arguably one of the people most likely responsible for causing the Civil War) to discusses Cushing’s view that war was inevitable.
Interesting Points
On the same day Lincoln sneaks into DC to avoid rumored assassination attempts, he interrupts a meeting with Seward to talk to Cushing.
Pratt introduces Caleb Cushing as “the writer who had been in Charleston during December”.
Caleb Cushing had been, among other high offices, the US Attorney General and the Minister to China who negotiated a favored nations treaty that I would describe as “The New England Blue Bloods get to sell opium to China just like other Elites” Treaty.
Caleb Cushing was also the Chairman of the Democrats Presidential National Convention.
“Of the 303 total votes allocated among the various states, a total of 50 have disappeared (a planned walkout) from the hall as the first ballot is about to be recorded. According to traditional rules, aimed at indulging the South, a candidate is required to win 2/3rds of the votes to be nominated. But now the question becomes whether that should be 2/3rds of the original 303 votes, or of the remaining 253 votes after the walk-out?
The ruling here is delivered by the Convention Chairman, Caleb Cushing, a renowned Doughface, former Attorney General under Pierce, supporter of Buchanan, and no friend of Stephen Douglas. He demands that the threshold be unchanged from the original plan, meaning that 202 votes (2/3rds of 303) are still required to win.”
By his ruling, Cushing almost ensures a hung Democratic Convention, multiple Democrat candidates splitting their votes, and putting Lincoln in the White House, all but guaranteeing War.
After meeting with Lincoln and telling him war is inevitable, Cushing and Seward according to Pratt: “The two heads wagged dolefully over it (a Southern plan) to burn the Capital”
Hardly just a “writer”
Pratt is a Naval Intelligence poster boy. Troubled youth, military, history and science fiction writer, inventor of the “Fletcher Pratt Naval War Game” Worth a glance at his Wikipedia page
Both Seward and Lincoln were victims of assassination attempts. Cleaning up loose ends?
Questions.
1. So more than one Cabinet Member was playing games. Was Cushing a British agent trying to cause a war?
2. Why did Pratt, who knew who Cushing was and what critical role he played, describe him as a “writer”?
3. Why did Seward spend so much time at a critical time with Cushing and why did Pratt make a point of including it, while hiding Cushing’s real role?

Thanks for the kind words. The story gets even more interesting.
Search results for “did caleb cushing meet abraham lincoln at the Willard Hotel.”
Duck, Duck Go. “Yes, Caleb Cushing visited President Abraham Lincoln at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Context of the Meeting
Time Period: This meeting took place during the Civil War. (February 1861?)
Cushing's Role: At the time, Cushing was engaged in various diplomatic missions for Lincoln, highlighting his involvement in significant governmental activities during this tumultuous period.
This visit underscores Cushing's importance as a political figure and his close working relationship with President Lincoln.” (Hardly a “writer”).
Brave “There is no direct evidence in the provided search context that Caleb Cushing met Abraham Lincoln at the Willard Hotel. While records confirm that Cushing sent a letter to Lincoln on January 19, 1865, requesting an interview, the documents do not specify if this meeting occurred or if it took place at the Willard.”
One last note, when Cushing came back from China he may have started an offshoot of Freemasonry using Chinese cult stuff. If this ties into some of the Southern Separatists organizations, like the Freemason’s “Knights of the Golden Circle”, Cushing working for Lincoln gets even more interesting.
I took his supposed Freemason application and then withdrawal as ruse. Either he already was a Freemason and the application/withdrawal was cover or it was real but just a signal to other Freemasons he was one of them. I saw one write up of the application/withdraw that said Lincoln was known as a “friend of Freemasonry”.
Ironically, or maybe not, Seward’s political career involved him running on the Anti-Freemason Party ticket. Controlled opposition? Given there were most likely similar Anti-Freemason travelers in the Republican Party, Lincoln’s Freemason dance may make more sense. Weirder and weirder.
I think you may have tapped something very real with your Lincoln/Jonas insights. I am going to follow this a little more and will keep you informed.
MLK was supposedly right about to become a freemason when he was killed. Part of me has wondered if certain assets are disposed of before being allowed into a circle that gradually reveals the system.
On a separate issue, you had mentioned Shiners had to be 33rd degree Masons. I have seen an alleged Freemason organization chart that shows you can go from 32nd degree to Shiner w/o being a 33rd degree. It didn’t exclude someone being both 33rd and Shiner, it just wasn’t required.
Of course, the org chart could have been fake to hide the fact public Shiners were actually privately 33rd degree Masons.
The org chart also showed a group above Shriners called The Jesters whose Lapel Pins showed distorted cartoon clown like characters with monster penises or homosexual overtones. Why would any man want to wear such things unless there was a pretty clear reason? Jesters have been busted for sex trafficking. Again, being a Jester didn’t exclude being a 33rd degree, it just wasn’t required.
If anyone says we are over-interpreting the project name, just remind them that of the mantra "symbolism will be their downfall." Audacious indeed.

Take care, Vic.
Lincoln had plans to become a Freemason. It's an open question in my mind how much he understood.
I took his supposed Freemason application and then withdrawal as ruse. Just a thought.
Makes sense.

I was just thinking about you today. And here is a post! Perfect. Thanks!
One Matt really won’t like this. I don’t have a definitive opinion yet, but am very interested in both of your thoughts.
