I wish that I shared your optimism of the immediate future.

Right now I see people on our side of the debate celebrating. Sure, the speeches delivered this weekend were exceptional. The experts were all well practiced with their message. The summary information seemed crushing.

But 10 billion doses have been delivered. This is not what winning should look like.

I am short term pessimistic, and long term optimistic, but I don't know how far out the horizon is to get to the sunrise.

I think that the leadership on our side is disorganized with respect to the big picture.

Mathew I agree and my optimism is not about immediate change. There are many countries and states that are doubling down right now despite the science. I've lost faith in our judicial system and why isn't Dr. Fauci in jail by now? Will those who planned this ever be held accountable? I do believe justice will be served eventually and good always wins over evil but that is long term. Right now we need to fight harder than ever to protect the children and support those who now understand what's going on and are choosing not to get boosted. It's too easy to fall into despair when we realize what is going on and I think we all needed to see some progress. Now that we have seen the glimmer of hope we can continue to push back locally against tyranny with renewed energy and purpose.
