He demonstrates the Army values of integrity and courage, as did Army Specialist Michael New, who refused to don U.N. uniform items and serve under U.N. command, back in 1994 or so. He joins the more recent examples as well of former Air Force Lt Col Matthew Lohmeier and former Marine Lt Col Stuart Scheller, both of whom gave up their military careers and pending retirement pay and benefits in exchange for doing what is right in their own eyes (and with which I agree). To have this prosecution and conviction gloated over by one of the Ukrainian-agent Vindman brothers, whose military careers sailed along on due course, is particularly galling.
These were not lawful orders. Despite all claims to the contrary, you cannot be ordered to submit your body to experimentation. If you could, then the military would admit and promote all of the operations they did testing their own soldiers in decompression chambers, and would hail the men who participated as heroes.
Excuse the language..this is bullshit. The judge that would decide to have this soldier should never have been court martialed. Every single one if these people that are not Dr's or scientists have no right to demand these things from a soldier. If the order is unlawful and not back by true science and I feel that has been established then how can this be lawful. The people at the top need to be removed and every person in the military that was kicked out needs to be reinstated and their record cleaned. I am pissed.
