Speaking of gaslighting... Guess what I just got on my Fb feed: an invitation to take an interactive T/F quiz to see how much I know about vaccines (except it was for Covid shots which are gene therapies not true vaccines), from an outfit called "knowitornot". I think it is from Health Canada. Statements like, "If vaccines work you shouldn't need boosters" and "Severe adverse reactions to Covid vaccines are very rare" and "mRNA vaccines have been in use for decades and are proven effective for HIV and other diseases" and "Covid vaccines are proven safe in pregnancy" and "Getting Covid vaccine is much safer than getting Covid." And the propaganda is VERY aggressive if you select "false" to a quiz question that they say is "true" or vice versa. It says WRONG! and lists its source, which is most often CBC news (which is not peer reviewed science of course). You can write in a rebuttal URL or citation below their listed source to each propaganda statement, but when you click on "submit", the button does not work - but when you give up and click 'next' you get another page of 'sources' which are not peer reviewed science. To which you can keep trying to submit rebuttal science uselessly. So if your blood pressure is too low a needs boosting, try their quiz.
🤮😮sounds like Canada! My Grade 7 daughter had a “science field trip” at school recently that was basically just a zoom meeting / science video in her classroom All About Vaccines! She told me they had to problem solve what to do about an “uncle living in the countryside who doesn’t want the covid vax”. Thank you, tax dollars. And wow--just like her story--your anecdote too really got my heart racing in anger.
On my daily news feed from NIH today was the announcement that they’re road testing three different mRNA vaccines for HIV. But if the C19 vaxx causes HIV…? We know Tiny Tony has had this ongoing dream of universal HIV vaccination since his youth. It would make him a zillionaire on par with Fat Albert Bourla. Money money money.
It works like this: First, you will get your HIV vax in order you are resilient. Next, you will get your covidian vax in order to supplement the HIV vax. Then, you wait. If nothing happens, the vaxes are safe and effective. If something does happen, you have kindly provided a highly commendable opportunity to have another vax developed. Your social credit score gets boosted as long as you are happy that you own nothing. Perhaps you are dead, too, but that is of little consequence.
There’s a beautiful symmetry to that scenario. I went to an Ivy League school where I was taught that the beauty of an explanation was further proof of its veracity. Yours definitely has a degree of elegance. And remember that death isn’t a bug, it’s a feature!

Cosmogony was one of the topics debated, and I let my disdain for the Bing Bang theory known while holding fast to the biblical teachings of Genesis. The young man asked me why I carried a belief so uncorroborated by science. My response was spontaneous: "Because it is elegant." There were no further arguments.
