It's collected over 860K signatures, including a bunch of prestigious names in virology. Doesn't seem to have had much appreciable effect on public policy, though.
The GBD was panned for having a bunch of public names as filler. The narrative writers could get away with making it appear that almost nobody of import signed it.
New strategy: Let's show everyone that there are tremendous numbers of doctors and scientists not in lock step with the narrative writers.
Almost makes me want a document that's the philosophic antipode to this and ask Fauci and his ilk to put themselves on record supporting one or the other.
E.g.,
WHEREAS, it is our utmost responsibility and duty to *undermine* the dignity, integrity, art and science of medicine;
etc,
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS:
RESOLVED, that the physician-patient relationship must be *destroyed*
RESOLVED, that the political intrusion into the practice of medicine and the physician/patient relationship must *continue*.
V1, after I've exceeded the FDA's daily recommendation on martinis:
We the sole arbiters of truth of the world, united and loyal to maintaining Our own importance, recognizing the profession of medicine as We know it is at a crossroad, are compelled to declare the following;
WHEREAS, it is Our utmost responsibility and duty to ensure the dignity, integrity, art, and science of medicine are We, Ourselves, and nothing more;
WHEREAS, there is a rabble demanding an ability to care for patients outside of Our purview;
WHEREAS, concepts of the individualized, personalized approach to patient care are asserted to be proven more safe and more effective than Our expert driven treatment strategy;
WHEREAS, physicians and other health care providers working on the front lines, utilizing their knowledge of epidemiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology, assert they are the first to identify new, potentially life saving treatments without Our assent;
WHEREAS, physicians are increasingly attempting to engage in open professional discourse and the exchange of ideas about new and emerging diseases, endangering the influence of experts like We;
WHEREAS, thousands of physicians are attempting to provide treatment to their patients, despite the necessary and obvious barriers We erected through pharmacies, hospitals, and public health agencies, giving false hope to their patients in the face of disease. Physicians are now fighting Our advice to tell their patients to simply go home (allowing the virus to so-called "replicate") and return when their disease worsens, and calling this "failure-to-treat";
WHEREAS, this is not medicine as We define it. This is not care as We define it. These practices may actually constitute crimes against Us.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS:
RESOLVED, that the direct physician-patient relationship must be eliminated. The very heart of modern medicine is the subservience of the physician to experts like We and the subservience of the patient to the physician, which allows Us to best formulate treatments for the betterment of society (as determined by Us), while the patient necessarily remains a passive participant in their care.
RESOLVED, that Our expertise in the practice of medicine must be honored above the so-called physician/patient relationship. Physicians, and all health care providers, must never be free to practice the art and science of medicine without fear of retribution, censorship, slander, or disciplinary action, including possible loss of licensure and hospital privileges, loss of insurance contracts and interference from government entities and organizations. More than ever, the so-called "right" and ability to exchange "objective" scientific findings, which dispute Our understanding of disease, must be prevented.
RESOLVED, that physicians must acquiesce their so-called right to prescribe treatment, observing the tenet ALL POWER TO THE STATE. Physicians shall be restricted from prescribing safe and effective treatments to the individual as necessary for maintenance of the common good, as determined by Us. These restrictions prevent unnecessary sickness and death in the collective (as determined by Us). The rights of patients, after being fully informed about the risks and benefits of each option, must be never be elevated over the rights of the collective (as determined by Us).
RESOLVED, that we invite physicians of the world and all health care providers to join us in this noble cause as we endeavor to restore trust, integrity and professionalism to the practice of medicine. Or else.
RESOLVED, that we invite the scientists of the world, who are skilled in biomedical research and uphold the highest ethical and moral standards, to insist on our sole authority to conduct and publish objective, empirical research. Or else.
RESOLVED, that we invite patients, who believe in the importance of the physician-patient relationship and the ability to be active participants in their care, to just freaking die already.
Now, I would recommend seeing if you can convene your three wittiest friends to beat on it, add to the mockument, and then find a good home to host it that would be hard to censor. When it has a home, let me know.
I thought about such a settings change while I was on my morning walk with my wife. I like keeping the shield up, and use four browsers to naturally separate my content (usually 150+ tabs open at any one time), but now that I'm committing to ditching all Google products, I guess I'll better learn to manage my Brave browser.
"RESOLVED, that physicians must defend their right to prescribe treatment, observing the tenet FIRST, DO NO HARM."
Thank you for bringing a perspective that finally makes some sense of the film TENET (spoiler alert: the film is about a portal to the intersection of time simultaneously moving forward and backward and you get there via a FREEPORT).
I wandered into this post after reading your Katy Perry MV observations '... art is collectively worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and is kept in freeport vaults around the world. It's an organized, parallel economy..."
We need more and more to come out publicly. All the doctors who went to medical school on student loans have been silenced. They are too afraid now. This is what happens when govt controls your education at higher levels and makes it possible for so many to get pop certificates and degrees.
Am I missing something, Mathew? - it doesn't seem clear to me who they wish to sign it - i.e. physicians & medical scientists only, or laypersons as well? If you have a contact, perhaps suggest they clarify that just above the invitation to sign on this page: https://doctorsandscientistsdeclaration.org/
Thanks for the info. I am very grateful for these brave doctors and scientists.
Just wanted to remind folks again about the Great Barrington Declaration.

Thanks Mathew. I signed 👏😇🥼👩⚕️
Thank you, hero.

I dig this. You're putting good effort into this.

On Brave, change the shield setting and the video will play.

I ditched Twitter over a year ago. Can’t vote on some things, but not going back🇺🇸

Just want to bring into attention a petition urging investigation of crimes against humanity based on joint request sent to ICC in Hague by attorneys from several European states: https://www.petitions.net/investigation_and_prosecution_of_those_individuals_responsible_for_crimes_against_humanity
Some info from Slovakia (in English): https://odbornakomisia.sk/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ICC-1-pre-web.pdf
