A Rounding the Earth Dinner Gathering in Austin, Texas on Friday, January 20 (Booking)

Over the past couple of months, my long time friend and fellow thought criminal Kai Chang has poked me to hold a dinner until I caved. Thankfully, he walked me through the scheduling process, so tickets are available here at EventBee (competitor to EventBrite, ahem).

Look, this all weirds me out more than I could possibly explain, but I'm not going to turn down the chance to have dinner with some amazing people, most of whom can't distinguish me from a homeless guy who won a free makeover for an MTV series that helps further suppress New Wave 80s punk-ish rock music videos.

Some of us are going to take advantage of the opportunity. Even before I got home and finished a work call, several of the available tickets were sold, so I guess this whole "Let's create a dinner of top notch thought criminal speak" works. If everything goes smoothly, maybe I'll do this a couple of times a year in different cities. I already have ten emails saying, "I'd love to go, but am N-thousand miles away and on the other side of a wardrobe portal," which is entirely understandable.

If you cannot make dinner at Fogo de Chão, you can still join us for a drink afterward. If you can't make either because you're reading a 17th article on whether the football player who collapsed had his heart weakened by the vaccines, I get it—I don't think 16 articles is a large enough N to know. That's just my opinion as a Statistician.

Dinner: 6-8 PM (by RSVP/ticket $150), some of us are arriving at 5 PM for a drink.

Drinks: 8-whenever Marriot W Austin at 200 Lavaca St.

Drinks will be at a nearby location to be determined. Perhaps we'll pick a good hotel lobby or interesting bar.
