Yesterday I noticed that Rounding the Earth now has over 10,000 subscribers. A sincere thanks for taking your time to read what I work to gather and share.
Rounding the Earth is planning regular video and podcast conversations, starting hopefully just after the New Year. There are some topics better relayed through conversation. This is an experiment, and we will see how it goes. I will only continue if there is value added.
Merry Christmas!
Don't take anything I say as trying to sell you any particular religion, but in building community. There are so many reasons to do so from the spiritual to the game theoretic. Winter is when spirits need nourishment. Hug more people. Share more warmth.
Every few weeks I like to choose a cause to support. This year I have not yet chosen a Christmas cause.
In the past, my wife and I have prepared meals for homeless individuals or purchased presents for distressed families. In general, I stay away from charities with high overhead, and whose operations I cannot easily audit through simple observation. So, I'm going to throw the question to RTE subscribers.
Let me know your favorite charitable organization that operates in Texas, and let me know how they effectively spend their money. Like each response you consider worth. The organization with the most votes will receive a donation from me equal to all subscription income received during the 24 hours after this post.
